A distressed ball gown that exposes the structure of the hoop skirt underneath. The bodice resembles the blocky shape of a bulletproof vest. It is made with two tone velvet, tulle, and fishnet mesh. Mirrored acrylic lines the exposed area of the hoop skirt and creates the broken spiked ribs that reveal the glowing heart. Foam covered LEDs reveal the beating heart of the dress. This dress is raw emotion. Its the anger I felt, how I viewed myself as beyond repair, and the deep sorrow of betrayal.
